Silence is golden

I hate noisy bikes. By noisy I mean creaks or squeaks that indicate something is not torqued to the right tightness or a part is ill-fitting or otherwise wrong (or worn out).
My single speed MTB has been creaky for quite a while. I finally got around to disassembling the top of the seat post and lubricating every piece in a quest for quiet. Nope! The post head is creaking in the post shaft. No way to quell that noise. So out went the OEM post and in went a post taken off another bike.

At the same time I discovered that the bolts holding the dropouts onto the frame were loose. This, despite Loctite on the threads. Snugged them up before my ride (hard to do them very tight with a 2.5mm Allen key!

And...
silence.

Fantastic.
